Madeira
Madeira was fun, I expored a lot - I went on a tour and had afternoon tea with some slightly snooty bears. Madeira is a Portuguese island in the Atlantic and is famous for Madeira wine *hick*, flowers and having the largest fireworks display in the world on New Year. Madeira is also the home of famous Real Madrid ladyboy footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo and all the people there like him very much. It has a bit of an old colonial air about it and it is a good place for those would be travelling bears that perhaps haven't travelled far yet to start their roamings.
Here I am taking a breather in the sun. Even though it was winter time, it was still nice and warm.
I went to a but of a jungle and decided to climb a tree! This Swiss Cheese plant has a flower almost bigger than me...
I am pretty sure that this museam was named after me. I couldn't see any teddies in the museum though.
This was the 4x4 we used for our trip - it got muddy but I certainly did not :-)
It wasn't all action and sitting in the sun. I went for a refined afternoon tea at the famous Reeds Hotel. There was a lot of choice of different teas and here you can see me trying to decide what to have...
The tea arrives! At this point I had finished it all and was wondering if there was any more left in the cup. There wasn't.
Yum, after the tea there was cake! As you can see I was very happy about this!
This is me socialising with the Reeds bears. It was good to interact with bears from other cultures but, to be honest, I found them a little posher than the other bears I have met and I thought Tarquin was a little lazy staying in his dressing gown all day.
